Sweet Baby Cannon

For Halloween Cannon was a sock monkey. His costume was too big so he basically wore the hat which looked like a mask on him. He also wore little pumpkin socks that didn't go with the sock monkey idea, but looked cute anyway. No, we didn't take him outside trick-or-treating. No way, not at 10 days old.

Baby Cannon is such a good boy! Curtis and I couldn't have asked for a better baby!!! He is so content and hardly ever cries! He only gets up between two and three times during the night. The only other times he cries is when he is cold getting his clothes or diaper changed. He didn't even cry when he got his hand and feet prints done at the dentist office or when he had his little boy "surgery". He is mellow and loves to be held or placed pretty much anywhere - floor, couch, our bed, his bed, his chair, etc. He enjoys getting his hair washed - the warm water must remind him of when he was in me. Cannon loves to listen to what is going on around him. He especially loves a cd I play a lot for him: A Child's Prayer - Primary Songs for Bedtime. He is such a sweet baby!

Cannon Vaughn Browning was born Tuesday, Oct. 21st at 9:51 p.m.
Weight: 7 pounds 15 ounces
Length: 20 inches

Curtis and I went to the hospital at 7:30 (in the morning so I could be induced. I was all set up in a delivery room with the day actually going by pretty quickly. I didn't have too much pain until I was about dialated to a 3 (I know, some of you are rolling your eyes cause a 3 is probably nothing), but they said I could get an epidural then and that there was no point in suffering. So... I got it and it was pretty smooth sailing from there. I will admit labor wasn't that bad. Cannon has tons of black, long hair. He is so cute! Curtis and I can't stop staring at him. He is so precious! He has my hair coloring, lips and ears. He has Curtis' feet, little dimple in the chin, nose, and legs. The nurses kept saying how content he is. We hope he stays that way. He sleeps a lot - which is pretty typical for newborns. I feel pretty good! I prefer standing up and walking around to just sitting around.

Curtis is a great hands-on dad! I am super impressed with how good he is with him! He has done so much already, I couldn't do it without him!!! I am so grateful for the boys in my life: Curtis, Cannon and Bobbin! :) Many more pics to come!

The little guy is finally here!

I guess we'll just wait until tomorrow when I am induced to have the baby.

6 days late!

Okay, he's still not here and I am getting really impatient!!! At least I know that Tuesday will be the latest! I'd rather have him come on his own though!

Where is he?

Still no baby, and no contractions! He must be pretty comfy and warm!
