Here we go again!

So.... yeah, I am going through the exact same thing as last year...I'm pregnant and tired. No, I'm not complaining, I'm excited for another little one even though I know it will be very difficult to take care of a 1 year-old and a newborn. Somehow, we will manage. This pregnancy actually has been a little easier. I'm not as sick as I was with Cannon. In fact, I'm not really sick anymore, just full of fatigue. The crazy thing is that this baby is due on Cannon's exact 1st Birthday - Oct. 21st. We know this baby is supposed to be in our family at this time, we have no doubt about that! Cannon will be a great big brother -- I know it!!! :)

Before we let Cannon see what the Easter Bunny brought him,Curtis read from the scriptures and explained the Resurrection to him. You can never start too early! :) Although the Easter Bunny brought Cannon lots of candy (which I have eaten most of), a summer outfit, and a BIG insect book. The book was by far his favorite gift!

The little guy in his Easter outfit for church. He actually was pretty good in Sacrament meeting. Usually, he is naughty and likes it when he is taken out- he has caught on already. :)

I just took this picture of the two of us because Curtis was already at church - you know, church meetings every Sunday morning.

Addict

I have a baby that's an addict -- yes, that's right -- a Baby Einstein addict! Cannon has been glued to those dvd's since he was about 2 months old. If I would let him, he seriously would watch one of those dvd's all day long! He has to watch one first thing in the morning, it's part of his routine. He then will watch it again around 3p.m. for about an hour. Sometimes, putting in one his shows is the only way I can get him to stop crying. I guess I don't entertain him enough by playing with him and his toys and reading books to him. Cannon has seen his same four Einstein dvd's so many times, I feel like I need to get him new ones when I go to the store. What do you think - should I break this habit and have an intervention? Or should I not really be concerned?

Fortune

Today as I was in the kitchen, I saw the fortune cookie that has been sitting in there for the past two weeks or so. Curtis and I ordered Chinese takeout a while ago, and Curtis never unwrapped or ate his fortune cookie. I was kindof sick of it just sitting there so I decided I was going to break it to see what the fortune read. I didn't want the cookie part - just the message inside. I had a feeling it was going to be a good one, I could feel it, and sure enough I was right. It is a simple message that we always hear, but important to be reminded of. This is the message:

DO NOT RUSH THROUGH LIFE. PAUSE AND ENJOY IT.

Boy, is that the truth. Sometimes we are in such a hurry that we forget to "stop and smell the roses." I am enjoying the rain today. I am enjoying that I can see my flowers starting to come up - tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, etc. I am enjoying that spring is just around the corner - this Friday to be exact. I hope you stop and enjoy life today and everyday!!

What do you think of the Rihanna & Chris Brown situation??

Have you seen this picture of Rihanna?? All I can say is Rihanna needs to run...run very fast and far away from Chris Brown!! However, I wouldn't be surprised if she goes back to him. That's how a lot of the girls are in abusive relationships - brainwashed by the loser boyfriend/husband. The guy promises that it will never happen again, and chances are very high that it will happen again and again and again. If Rihanna does leave him for good, don't be surprised to see Chris Brown with a new lady without any delay. Some girl will probably take him just because he is Chris Brown and rich and famous! Sheesh! I do hope that Chris gets help - like counseling. Not only does he need to see a counselor, but she will too. He has affected Rihanna not only physically, but mentally and emotionally. It will take her awhile to heal (maybe even years). No matter what she said to him (or maybe even egged him on), he still did NOT have the right to do that to her!!

Although this is BEAUTIFUL...

I'm EXTREMELY ready for this!!

Congratulations...

to Brendon for being called to serve in the Los Angeles Spanish-Speaking mission! Brendon is my oldest nephew who is currently attending BYU-Idaho. Curtis served his mission in L.A. too. Curtis keeps saying, "He's gonna love it!" Hopefully Brendon will enjoy it - yes, there will be some struggles and rough days, but it will all be worth it! Congrats again Brendon!!!
