Happy 1st Anniversary Curtis!

I honestly can't believe that we have been married a year! The time went by so fast! I guess the old saying is true, "Time flies when you're having fun!" Curtis is probably the nicest guy I know. He is so polite to everyone and never wants to offend anyone. Curtis is willing to help whether it be at home, neighbors, or for church. He always has a smile and his little laugh to go along with it. Curtis and Cannon are best buddies! Cannon really likes to be by his dad.:)Thanks for being such a great guy! You were well worth the wait! Happy Anniversary!

C.V.B.

When Cannon was born we didn't know what to name him. Yes, we had a few names picked out but couldn't decide on any one name, so we decided to wait and see his face. The name that I kept thinking that we were going to name him was Carter, but when I saw him he just didn't look like a Carter to me. Curtis had been drawn to the name Cannon which by the way means - "official of the church." It's not too common of a name, which I like. Vaughn is Cannon's middle name. We had his middle name picked out from the beginning. Vaughn is Curtis' middle name as well as Curtis' father's middle name (Jerry Vaughn Browning). Cannon is similar to his dad and grandpa in the fact that all three of them are pretty mellow and calm. What a great trait to possess!

Sweet Baby Cannon

For Halloween Cannon was a sock monkey. His costume was too big so he basically wore the hat which looked like a mask on him. He also wore little pumpkin socks that didn't go with the sock monkey idea, but looked cute anyway. No, we didn't take him outside trick-or-treating. No way, not at 10 days old.

Baby Cannon is such a good boy! Curtis and I couldn't have asked for a better baby!!! He is so content and hardly ever cries! He only gets up between two and three times during the night. The only other times he cries is when he is cold getting his clothes or diaper changed. He didn't even cry when he got his hand and feet prints done at the dentist office or when he had his little boy "surgery". He is mellow and loves to be held or placed pretty much anywhere - floor, couch, our bed, his bed, his chair, etc. He enjoys getting his hair washed - the warm water must remind him of when he was in me. Cannon loves to listen to what is going on around him. He especially loves a cd I play a lot for him: A Child's Prayer - Primary Songs for Bedtime. He is such a sweet baby!
