Instagram Photos as of Late Part 4

I am debating continuing on with my blog. I feel like no one looks at it. Comments are hardly left. If you do look check this blog occasionally, would you do me a HUGE favor? Leave a brief comment so I know if it is worth continuing. Thanks a bunch!

Three handsome boys ready for church.

Me, Christian, and Bobbin sitting in our backyard enjoying the warm, spring weather. Carter took this picture.;)

"Whenever I hear the song of a bird or look at the blue, blue sky..." My view as I drove Cannon to preschool one day. Enjoy the little things.

Found this pic of Carter on my iphone. He took it himself. He smiles way better when he is in charge compared to when I ask him to smile for a picture for me. ;)

Our sweet Christian boy!

I have always been intrigued/fascinated with the other side. Went to Deseret Book one day and sat and pretty much read this whole book. The author's dad was my bishop growing up, and our hometeacher.

We have been doing a nightly activity each day of the week leading up to Easter (mostly Christ related). One of the nights we dyed Easter eggs.

Christian and mom at the park.

Carter is our "class clown" child. His facial expressions kill me. :)

Our baby sits up like a champ, and acts like he wants to crawl.

My pansies survived the big snow storm.

Brother train

What I believe about marriage.

Throwback Thursday - Christian just barely born.

Look who I found...the Naked Cowboy from NYC! ;)

A book I have been reading. I recommend it!

My grandpa passed away 15 years ago on March 25, 2013. He was in the army and served in World War II. Great respect for our military  men and women and veterans!

Left to right: Camille, Becky, Me, and Alison Christmas morning. Guessing 1981?
Found this in Cannon's "special notebook": I LOVE MOM Cannon. :)

Walked around the temple grounds the other day when the weather was fabulous.

Inspiring Quotes

I love quotes...especially by prophets and apostles! Here are a few of my favorites:

“Try a little harder to be a little better.”
―Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley

"Generally speaking, the most miserable people I know are those who are obsessed with themselves; the happiest people I know are those who lose themselves in the service of others...By and large, I have come to see that if we complain about life, it is because we are thinking only of ourselves.” - Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley

"Along your pathway of life you will observe that you are not the only traveler. There are others who need your help. There are feet to steady, hands to grasp, minds to encourage, hearts to inspire, and souls to save." -Pres. Thomas S. Monson

"God is eagerly waiting for the chance to answer your prayers and fulfill your dreams, just as He always has. But He can't if you don't pray, and He can't if you don't dream. In short, He can't if you don't believe."-Elder Jeffrey R. Holland (This quote was hanging up in my bedroom when I was single. I still read the quote often.)

"How much more beautiful would be the world and the societies in which we live if every father and mother looked upon their children as the most precious of their assets, if they led them by the power of their example in kindness and love..." -Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley

"The best antidote for worry is work. The best medicine for despair is service. The best cure for weariness is the challenge of helping someone who is even more tired." -Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley

"Oh, give me patience when wee hands
Tug at me with their small demands.
And give me gentle and smiling eyes.
Keep my lips from hasty replies.
And let not weariness, confusion or noise
Obscure my vision of life's fleeting joys.
So when, in years to come my house is still-
No bitter memories its room may fill. - Unknown

"However much we believe in angels, we ought to believe in them more than we do, for they truly do "encamp round about" us and they regularly protect and deliver us in many different ways." - Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

"Do more than belong: participate.
Do more than care: help.
Do more than believe: practice.
Do more than be fair: be kind.
Do more than forgive: forget.
Do more than dream: work."
~William Arthur Ward (not a prophet or apostle, but a great quote)

"There are so many people in need whom we could be thinking about instead of ourselves. And please don’t ever forget your own family. There are so many ways we could be serving. We have no time to become absorbed in ourselves.”
- Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf

“Stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight.”
- Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley

“You can't plow a field simply by turning it over in your mind." - Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley

"Love is spelled T-I-M-E." -Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf

"I testify that no one of us is less treasured or cherished of God than another. I testify that He loves each of us—insecurities, anxieties, self-image, and all. He doesn’t measure our talents or our looks; He doesn’t measure our professions or our possessions. He cheers on every runner, calling out that the race is against sin, not against each other."
— Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

I would much rather find this little cutie in the laundry basket than dirty clothes! Happy 6 months, Christian! You are such a joy to have in our family!

Carter loves Orange Leaf almost as much as he loves Thomas the Train (and that's A LOT)!

Found these springing up in my yard! Spring is just around the corner!

Throwback Thursday  - Idaho Falls High School Graduate. Class of 1996. I.F. Tigers. Some days I really miss high school - lots of great memories!

I started the Whole 30 Paleo Challenge. An apple and strawberry for breakfast. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. My body needed a change - to feel bettter! Note: all of the pictures below of unhealthy food/junk food, were taken before I started the 30 day challenge!

Nothing says Saturday morning like German Pancakes!

Hometown Kitchen's Grandma's Noodles only served on Wednesday's with a side mini-loaf! YUM, YUM, and YUM!

Decided to make homemade bread one morning.

Throwback Thursday - Cannon at 4 months old! Look at all of that hair!

Carter wears pajamas most of the day. It's not worth fighting him to wear normal clothes. You pick your battles, right? He is constantly changing from one pair of pajamas to the next. He likes these short shorts! ;)

Christian loves his jumper! He is such a happy baby! Now when we hold him and say, "Jump!" He starts jumping. So cute!

Our little baby girl named Christianita. Give me a break...I may never have a girl.

Since when did he grow up?Just loungin' around. Oh I could just squeeze him!

Snakebite Restaurant. Curtis and I actually got to go out on a date with zero kids. Miracle of Miracles!

This little bookworm was busted reading! Not just looking at the pictures, but actually reading!

This book is one of our faves!

Born, raised, and still living in the 2nd happiest city in the U.S.!

I am not a huge fan of Mexican food, but I often crave Taco El Loco food! It's authentic Mexican food. Nachos on the left, chicken enchiladas on the right.

Carter, Preston, and Cannon - bowling! We are grateful Preston is on the mend after spending a month at Primary Children's Hospital due to E. Coli (HUS).

Me and my twin.

I bought these because I just knew Curtis would want me to have them. ;) Tulips are one of my favorite flowers! Is it almost spring yet?

Carter kisses his "little brother".

Made these sugar cookies for a Sunday snack to start off Valentine's week! Thanks to Becky, my sister, for the best recipe ever!

Left to right: Cousin Max, Christian, Carter, Cannon, Cousin Andrew

Christian at Dr. C's office getting his 4 month check up. He is in the 90th percentile for height.

Cannon and Carter wanted a picnic. We had to do it inside since it is too cold to have one outside.

All of the Young Women in our ward at New Beginnings. Our theme was : Oh, the Places you'll Stand. It was a Dr. Seuss theme.

Curtis got me this stuff for Christmas. Heaven in a bottle!! Go get some from Bath & Body Works!

Found this on my iphone of our back patio from last August...had me daydreaming of summer!

Christian at 5 months. Such a cutie!

The day he turned five months, he loved playing with this balloon. He loved it so much he fell asleep with it in his hand. *Not staged...I promise!

Happy 35th Birthday, Curtis!

Happy, Happy 35th Birthday to this guy!!! Curtis is one great catch!!! I honestly don't know what I did to deserve him!?! No, seriously...

Curtis is humble (something most guys lack these days), kind, sincere, helpful, funny, a people-pleaser, etc. He knows when to bite his tongue and not say things even though he is thinking it (something I need to work on). The boys love him because he actually spends time with them - a lot of time!! We all know that love is spelled t-i-m-e as Elder Uchtdorf has taught us.

Curtis is my very best friend!!! Hope your birthday wish comes true, Curtis!!! You deserve it more than anyone I know!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Heart Attack 2013

"Love is energy of life."
 - Robert Browning
For Family Home Evening (FHE) we went and "Heart Attacked" my parent's home (their side garage door). The boys (two older ones) had so much fun getting everything ready - cutting out hearts, putting stickers on the cards and hearts, and making bags filled with treats. The boys were so proud of their heart attacking, that they had to show my parents what they had done...even though it was supposed to be a secret/surprise. Memories: that's what I am trying to create more of and make more of this year. It takes a lot of energy (which I totally lack as of lately), but I know it is important/crucial. Go make some Valentine memories!
